Reviews

I bought the 2.5 x 6" core bit, sds adaptor and extra pilot bit. They were shipped very quickly ( I received shipping confirmation from Heleta before Amazon confirmed the other items in the order! Well done Heleta!) I needed this to drill two holes through unfilled block, on an angle, from one side using a Milwaukee rotary hammer (equivalent to Milwaukee 5359-21 1-1/8-Inch SDS Drive L-Shape Rotary Hammer ). The depth of the bit, plus the length of the shank, plus the narrow chuck of my drill were sufficiently long to let me drill all the way through 8" block without back-drilling from the other side. The hole was very clean going in and surprisingly neat on the exiting side too.

The components are well made, but not perfect. The pilot bit doesn't like to stay in the adapter for long, and I didn't want to over-torque the set screw that holds it in place. Checking it frequently was not a problem.

All in all an excellent value.

Great Value - Obe - Los Angeles, CA
This core bit costs a fraction of the competition. I have used it four times now to penetrate a masonry wall with only one minor problem. The screw to hold the pilot bit in place has lost its grip and keeps falling out - not a problem so far, just an annoyance. For the money - cant be beat. Make sure you order the proper type of shank to match your hammer-drill. I did not, but the shank was so cheap, I just ordered the right one.
